Animated "Holly Rock" Music Video Shows Prince in His Most Iconic Outfits
A cut from his posthumous album ‘Originals.’
The Prince Estate has released an accompanying visual for the artist’s posthumous single, “Holly Rock.” Utilizing the iconic shade of purple, the animated comic-style music video features the late musician in different outfits representing the phases of his music.
“Holly Rock” was produced and co-written by Prince for his friend and collaborator Sheila E. The original version was released by for the 1985 flick Krush Groove, but his version was recorded at Sunset Sound studios in Los Angeles earlier in the year.
