Nike Gives the ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% a "Be True" Makeover

Nike‘s newest technical runner has just received a colorful makeover. In keeping with the list of Pride Month releases promoting the LGBTQIA+ community, this ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% features Gilbert Baker’s iconic rainbow flag translated into a gradient of colors across the front midfoot, along with speckled silver at the back. Strengthening this shoe’s ties with the “Be True” collection, Gilbert Baker’s signature is printed at the medial side of the heel, while a bright rainbow pattern is featured on the insole with words: ” SEXUALITY, LIFE, HEALING, SUNLIGHT, NATURE,” and more — the shoebox also comes doused in the colors of the rainbow.

In terms of a running shoe, this ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% packs all of Nike’s most modern running technologies, seen in the ZoomX foam and VaporWeave uppers; these two combined create a shoe with the highest level of energy return that’s also lightweight and breathable. The sneaker is finished off with a large Swoosh at the front, a smaller one in the back, silver eyelets stays, and a continuous carbon fiber plate at the midfoot.

Currently only offered in the EU for a price of €275 EUR (approximately $310 USD), this model is available now to Nike+ members at nike.com. Stay tuned for news regarding a Stateside release.
