Nike's Air Max 98 Gets Retro Windbreaker-Inspired Treatment
Recalling the ’80s and ’90s.

Nike has whipped up some windbreaker-inspired kicks that recall the ’80s and ’90s as of late, and the brand’s Air Max 98 is one the latest models to get the throwback treatment. This sneaker represents a darker take than its recent Air Max 95 counterpart, though an array of colorful stripes provides a bright contrast throughout.
The shoe is featured in black along the upper and stacked with a crisp white midsole and full-length transparent Air Max unit. A striped design coated in shades of “Kinetic Green,” “Psychic Purple,” and “Flash Crimson” marks the side panels for a retro glow, while a leather mudguard with a metallic Swoosh keeps things contemporary. The Air unit is presented in classic gum rubber, giving the style one final nostalgic touch.
The Air Max 98 “Black/Kinetic Green/Psychic Purple/Flash” is priced at $170 USD and available to purchase now from Nike’s webstore.
