Beaverton continues on with its long line of releases for the Air Max 97 this summer, applying an iconic “Bred” colorway with a modern twist of reflective silver.

The black mesh upper and pebbled leather mudguard form a subtle canvas for vibrant highlights of “University Red,” wrapping along the wave forms, riding up the lace loops, and onto the tongue and tongue tab. Higher up on the shoe is where a touch of modernity comes in, with streaks of “Metallic Silver” surrounding the silhouette, leading up to the logo badge on the tongue — all of which are highly reflective. The sleek upper sits atop a full-length Air Max cushioning in red, with the color extending down onto the outsole where specks of reflective silver can also be found. The shoe also carries the signature miniature Swooshes on the midfoot, and an “Air Max” heel pull tab.

Those interested in these Nike Air Max 97 “Black/Metallic Silver/University Red” can head over to Nike’s online store, where they’re available now for $160 USD.

For more sneaker news, the rare Nike “Moon Shoe” has just been auctioned off for a world-record-shattering amount.
