Nike Flips the Air Max 1 With an Inverted Tongue
Revealing a distressed foam finish and the size tag.

Following in the footsteps of its “Inside Out” revamp, Nike utilized a milder reversal approach with its latest Air Max 1. The classic silhouette’s upper is crafted with a mixture of leather and mesh, elevated by darker suede overlays and exposed stitching. Emphasizing on the model’s theme is the eye-catching inverted tongue that features a distressed foam finish and additional enlarged stitching, topped with the footwear brand’s distinct size tag. Branding hits can be found on the panel swoosh, insole and embroidered Nike Air heel emblem. The iterations arrive in shades of “Mystic Navy” and “Wolf Grey.”
The Nike Air Max 1 “Mystic Navy” and “Wolf Grey” are available now on nike.com for $110 USD.
