Juventus Won't be on 'FIFA 20' After Signing Exclusive 'Pro Evolution Soccer' Deal
Now known as Piemonte Calcio on the game.
Following on from the arrival of its first trailer — and name change from Pro Evolution Soccer – eFootball PES 2020 has now launched an exclusive partnership with Juventus. The deal, which has been announced by developer Konami, means that the upcoming game “will be the only console video game that will feature the club’s name, crest and stadium.”
It isn’t clear exactly what this means for FIFA 20, the game’s main rival from EA Sports, after FIFA 19 featured Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo on the cover. The club’s Allianz Stadium will likely be replaced with a stock stadium, and EA Sports has gone on to announce that the team will instead be called Piemonte Calcio on FIFA 20.
Alongside the announcement, Konami revealed that 17 Juventus players — including Ronaldo — will have their likeness added to the game for the first time. Additionally, Pavel Nedved will appear on the game as a legend player.
Take a look at the announcement trailer above, and expect eFootball PES 2020 to arrive on September 10.
