HBO is Making a 'Very Ralph' Documentary on Ralph Lauren's Life
Following the fashion icon on his journey to success.
HBO has just announced an upcoming documentary revolving around American fashion icon Ralph Lauren‘s life story, aptly named Very Ralph.
The feature length film about the 79-year-old designer, who founded his now-famous Polo menswear brand in 1968, will cover everything from the man’s upbringing in the Bronx, his half-a-century-long marriage with Ricky Anne Loew-Beer, and candid interviews with Lauren himself. Of course, the documentary will also chronicle his six decades in the fashion industry, discussing the birth of Polo and its early struggles, as well as later innovations in design and advertising.
Stepping away from the man himself, the documentary also features an array of interviews with some of Lauren’s closest family and friends, including guests such as Kanye West, Karl Lagerfeld, Naomi Campbell, Anna Wintour, Calvin Klein, Hillary Clinton, Martha Stewart, Diane von Furstenberg, and Jessica Chastain.
For those of you interested in the fashion industry or if you’re just a fan of RL/Polo, be sure to check out Very Ralph, which premieres November 12 on HBO.
