Darcel Disappoints Chronicles City Life 'In One Year in New York' Book
Including a Q&A with Sarah Andelman.

Trailing behind his IKEA collaboration last May, famed illustrator Craig Redman of Darcel Disappoints now launches a book entitled ‘In One Year in New York’ which includes a Q&A with Sarah Andelman. Starring Redman’s semi-autobiographical character, the Victionary-published tome chronicles the cyclopean cartoon’s varying experiences of living in New York City alongside “reflections on relationships, anxieties, friends, and family,” as per the publisher.
“When I moved to New York, I was blissfully naive; oblivious to the city’s history and what was happening around me. To remember these observations, I started putting my thoughts down in picture form on my blog, ‘Darcel Disappoints,’” said Craig Redman.
The hardcover book spans 156 pages and is available for purchase on Victionary’s website for $24.95 USD.
Elsewhere in design, IKEA recently launched a typeface inspired by Twitter’s response to custom couch tool.
