The annual Frieze Sculpture installment in London has returned to Regent’s Park. Curated by the program director of Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Clare Lilley, the three-month-long edition features large-scale sculptures made by 23 international artists. Participants include Tom Sachs, the late Robert Indiana, Tracey Emin, Jaume Plensa, Vik Muniz, among others.
Highlights include Sachs’ ‘My Melody’ (2008) sculpture inspired by ‘Hello Kitty,’ Emin’s ‘When I Sleep’ (2018) artwork, Muniz’s full-size reproduction of a 1973 Jaguar E-Type Matchbox toy car and Indiana’s ‘ONE through ZERO’ (1980-2002) series of outdoor pieces that are installed in a circular arrangement.
Frieze Sculpture London 2019 is on view through October 6. Head to Frieze’s website for further details and check out select works above.
