A Full Look at Sarah Andelman & Darcel Disappoints' "FÖRNYAD" IKEA Collaboration
Designed to celebrate “modern student life.”

After releasing collaborations with Sonos and Virgil Abloh recently, IKEA has now unveiled its full release with Sarah Andelman and Craig Redman, designer of Darcel Disappoints. Titled “FÖRNYAD,” the collection is designed for “modern student life” and covers everything from furniture such as lamps, sofas and desks to accessories including stationary and luggage.
Darcel Disappoints is a recurring theme throughout the collection, with the cartoon character appearing as part of an all-over pattern and as a stand-alone motif on certain pieces. The colorful print in the collection also features a floral images, statues and the street sign for Rue Saint-Honoré in tribute to colette’s former home in Paris.
Stand-out pieces in the collection include a take on the classic IKEA bag — which comes in the collaborative print — as well as the KLIPPAN two-seater sofa and an LED lamp complete with wireless charging.
