Vampire Weekend Cover 'Parks And Recreation' Theme
They also performed “Pizza Party,” a rap song from Koenig’s pre-VW band L’Homme Run.

This is fun. Vampire Weekend recently kicked off their North American tour in support of their new album Father Of The Bride. During their show at the Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park in Indianapolis last night (June 9), the band played a cover of the theme song of the popular television show Parks And Recreation. The fictional town the show is based on is Pawnee, Indiana and Ezra Koenig has a kid with Rashida Jones, who played Ann Perkins in the show. The band also performed “M79″ off of their first album.
When the encore hit, the band also made the announcement that they will take song requests from anyone wearing a bucket hat while on this tour. For this show, a bucket hat wearer requested “Pizza Party,” a rap song from Koenig’s pre-Vampire Weekend band L’Homme Run.
