Nike's Shox R4 Gets a Reflective and Retro Makeover
Two new releases including “White Flash” and “Black Glow.”

Nike has given its Shox R4 model quite the revival this year, offering up the style in its original “Black/Metallic Silver-Max Orange” colorway and even a special-edition collaboration with famed footballer Neymar Jr. Continuing to refresh the silhouette for the summer, the brand has introduced the shoe in new glossy reflective versions that lend a retro aesthetic.
The latest take on the footwear includes two monochromatic releases, dubbed “White Flash” and “Black Glow.” Each style features an upper washed in a tonal black or white base respectively, while a neon green Swoosh adds a bright element to the side panel. More color is threaded throughout the four-column midsole and the heel logo, playing up shades of orange, purple and green that call to mind an old-school game console. Reflective elements on the tongue, eyestay and toe box finish the sneaker off with a glow-in-the-dark effect.
Both editions of the Shox R4 are priced at ¥1,299 CNY (approximately $187 USD), with the “White Flash” colorway available now and the “Black Glow” expected to release on June 11 at Nike China’s webstore.
