Haiti Babii Is a One of a Kind Talent
The budding rapper spoke about his viral freestyle, producing and more.
For the latest entry in our Conversations With interview series, HYPEBEAST linked up with Haiti Babii to discuss his viral freestyle, his production routine and surviving the streets.
Raised in Stockton, Calif., the budding West Coast native had social media in a frenzy after his viral freestyle on Bootleg Kev & DJ Hed’s show on Los Angeles’ Real 92.3. The freestyle was uploaded on May 2, but when Twitter user Alyricz posted the clip on May 4, Haiti Babi’s ad-lib-filled performance was catapulted to viral fame.
“A lot of people were confused, they didn’t want to attempt the impossible and it’s called a freestyle so I’m giving you a free style,” he told HYPEBEAST.
Since the video, Chrissy Teigan shared the video with her 11 million Twitter and Rihanna FaceTimed him to share her praises. Most recently, he dropped his project titled Warrior and released the video for his new single “Blue Dragon.”
