THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL FW19 Overhauls Cozy Outdoor Staples
“Purple Wind” upgrades key items like the Denali jacket and sherpa fleece pullovers.
Once again taking cues from The North Face‘s expansive archive, nanamica‘s THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL delivers another strikingly styled seasonal lookbook. Fall/Winter 2019 sees the Japanese imprint delving into cozy layering pieces and loose trousers, elevating classic skiwear and adventure garments into covetable casual clothes.
Comfy wool and fuzzy fleece appear throughout, bolstered by baggy jeans and oxford collar button-downs, a nod to nanamica’s plentiful trad influences. Puffer coats, mountain jackets and cargo pocket anoraks lend a technical touch to the more blue collar goods, with plenty of relaxed hoodies, trim sweaters and graphic T-shirts to reinforce THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL’s laid-back intent. Heritage items, including the Denali jacket, Sierre parka and retro Yosemite-branded pullovers, receive timely tweaks, complemented by an array of staple accessories that range from knit beanies and socks to waist bags and trim sacoche pouches.
Take a closer look at several accessories below, and expect the new items to hit nanamica’s web store and Japanese shops in the coming months. Soon after, it should arrive at Brooklyn’s The North Face Prototype store in limited drops. Take a closer look at select accessories below.
Most recently, The North Face rejoined National Geographic for more shirts crafted from upcycled plastic.
