126-Piece Supreme Skate Deck Collection Sells for £100,000 GBP (UPDATE)
All sold to one bidder.

UPDATE: Bonhams London Modern and Contemporary Art sale has sold a collection of Supreme skate decks for £100,000 GBP (approx. $127,000 USD). There were a number of sought after pieces, including collaborations with Urs Fischer, Cindy Sherman and Nan Goldin. Despite this, the decks sold for approximately £763 GBP each (approx. $970 USD). The 126-piece collection was bought by one Chinese bidder, who competed against 23 physical bidders and a dozen phone bidders.
ORIGINAL POST (May 20, 2019): With Sotheby’s currently selling a string of archive Supreme pieces, Bonhams London has announced its own auction of skate decks from the New York label. The decks will be sold as a single lot as part of Bonhams’ upcoming Modern and Contemporary Art Sale, and will feature 126 decks collected between 2011 and 2019.
Expanding on the sale’s theme, a number of the decks feature work from celebrated contemporary artists including the Chapman Brothers — with a set of five decks from 2012 — as well as three decks from Urs Fischer and two by Cindy Sherman. Additionally, the sale references pop culture icons ranging such as Bruce Lee, The Godfather and The Cat in the Hat. Overall the collection of decks has an estimate of £100,000 – £150,000 GBP (approx. $127,500 USD to $190,000 USD).
All 126 Supreme decks will be exhibited at Bonhams London’s New Bond Street location ahead of the sale. The Modern and Contemporary Art Sale will take place on June 27, and will also feature works from artists including Oscar Murillo, Roberto Marcello Baldessari and Louis Marcoussis.
