The Lion King Shares New Posters & Breaks Advance Ticket Records

Advance tickets for Disney‘s The Lion King are now on sale. And with that, Disney has shared a new set of exclusive posters for the highly-anticipated live-action remake.

Each poster in the set of three belongs to a specific viewing experience; One belongs to the RealD 3D, one is for Dolby Digital, and the other is the IMAX artwork. For RealD 3D, the watercolor painting highlights the special relationship shared between Simba, Pumbaa, and Timon with their “Hakuna Matata” time lapse spotlighted in the middle. Dolby Digital’s artwork focuses on Simba’s journey with a large lion eye placed in the center. Within the eye, a small cub can be seen. Finally IMAX’s showcases the “Circle of Life” opening sequence taken right from the movie.

Additionally, the advance ticket sales for The Lion King is currently breaking Disney records (not including Marvel or Star Wars films). According to Deadline, the first day sales have already topped the record held previously by 2017’s Beauty and the Beast and falls just behind Avengers: Endgame.

Disney’s The Lion King arrives in theaters on July 19.
