Hender Scheme Celebrates 1st Anniversary of Sukima Kappabashi Store With Exclusives
Three new items.

Hender Scheme celebrates the first anniversary of its second flagship, the Sukima Kappabashi, with the release of three exclusive items. Known for its “effect_lab,” a special machine for customizing leather goods with special stamps, the Tokyo outpost location will release special takes on the Tortoise sandal, Multi Helmet Bag and a new Kinchaku bag.
The Tortoise footwear option take on the shape of a Birkenstock sandal but are elevated with a chunky rounded ripple sole and see patent and natural leather all in a rich vegetable-tanned color. Vegetable tanned leather continues onto the remaining pieces as seen in the Multi Helmet Bag; the bag features a mixed construction of waxed canvas, nylon and handles made in the signature Hender Scheme leather. The Kinchaku bag makes a return but switches its customary suede material with vegetable tanned leather.
Set for a June 29 release, each item will retail in the ¥36,000 JPY price point (approximately $335 USD) and will be available exclusively at the Sukima Kappabashi store and online.
