Dubbed “Seven Falls,” RHUDE‘s Paris Fashion Week debut was a clear indicator of how Rhuigi Villaseñor’s fledgling label has evolved over the past few years. Though RHUDE’s street-leaning inclinations have matured, it’s formative touchstones have remained, elevated by Italian craftsmanship and a progressive twist on contemporary menswear.

Spring/Summer 2020’s collection is packed with the items that RHUDE has built its devoted following upon: Western shirts, luxe track pants and boxy tees, often upgraded by referential prints and lush patterns. More Thierry Lasry frames accent the slouchy styling, with classic moto pants bolstered by unstructured mac coats, washed denim jackets, shiny officer shoes and a series of branded shoulder bags, tethered by beaded straps. RHUDE’s signature worn-in detailing yields cracked “OKLAHOMA” prints atop oversized sweaters and pre-distressed knitwear and jeans alike, offsetting the lived-in look with buttery leather overshirts, a fringed poncho and even some suede boots.

Elsewhere at Paris Fashion Week, we went backstage at sacai’s Spring/Summer 2020 presentation.
