Last week, Reebok celebrated its Club C silhouette in New York’s Union Square neighborhood. The footwear brand invited attendees to “join the Club,” a nod to the classic, iconic sneaker and its latest campaign, which starred a new class of creatives who are defying the status quo. In attendance were the club’s founding members, photographer and Ambassador of Aesthetics Adrienne Raquel, stylist and Secretary of Style Taylor Okata and musician and VP of Vibes Nick Hakim, all outfitted in the latest Reebok ‘fits. With its unconventional approach, the party stayed true to the brand’s “Sport the Unexpected” adage.
Set inside Lillie’s Victorian Establishment, the event turned a typical country club aesthetic on its head with a set from DJ Ryan Trinidad, themed cocktails and polaroid portraits. Rounding out the experience was a surprise instrumental performance from a collective of musicians who reinterpreted hits like Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” and Drake’s “Passion Fruit.”
