Roland Emmerich's Epic WWII Film 'MIDWAY' Gets Its First Trailer
Starring Nick Jonas, Woody Harrelson, Mandy Moore, Darren Criss, & more.
Lionsgate has just shared the first trailer for Roland Emmerich’s upcoming war epic, MIDWAY.
The film will center around the 1942 Battle of Midway, a clash between the American fleet and the Imperial Japanese Navy, which marked a significant turning point for the Americans in the Pacific Theater during World War II. It will also chronicle the dramatic six months that led up to the event following Japan’s infamous attack on Pearl Harbor. Based on true events, MIDWAY will also spotlight the heroic stories of leaders and soldiers who fought to overcome the odds.
MIDWAY stars Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring) as Admiral Edwin Layton, Luke Evans (The Alienist, Beauty and the Beast) as Commander Wade McClusky, Woody Harrelson (Solo: A Star Wars Story) as Admiral Chester Nimitz, Mandy Moore (This Is Us) and Darren Criss (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story), and co-stars Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight), Nick Jonas (Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle), Dennis Quaid (Emmerich’s The Day After Tomorrow), Keean Johnson (Alita: Battle Angel) and Tadanobu Asano (Thor, 47 Ronin).
Look for MIDWAY to land in theaters November 8.
