Fourth of July is just around the corner and many brands have been dressing up their offerings with star-spangled colorways — Puma and Nike just to mention a few. Now, New Balance has followed suit with one of its most patriotic silhouettes: the Made in USA 990v5.

The 990 has been manufactured in America for more than 75 years, representing a significant portion of the company’s US sales, and now it comes outfitted proudly in the nation’s colors of red, white and blue. As with its predecessors, the upper is made up of premium nubuck, mesh for breathability, and rubber for added support and texture. Most of the upper is dressed with “Nimbus Cloud” white, with dashes of “Team Royal” blue by the toe cap and outlining the New Balance logo on the midfoot, and “Team Red” by the heel counter and outsole. The color scheme extends up to the logos on the tongue, highlighting the usual American flag and “990v5” tags. Of course, the sneaker comes ready with its regular ENCAP midsole technology and a Dual Density Collar Foam.

The New Balance Made in USA 990v5 “Nimbus Cloud/Team Royal/Team Red” is now available over at newbalance.com, going for $174.99 USD. Grab a pair now to gear up for the coming celebrations.
