YG Drops Cameo-Filled "Hard Bottoms & White Socks" Music Video
Along with a shoutout to the late Nipsey Hussle.
YG has released an accompanying music video for “Hard Bottoms & White Socks,” the opening track off his latest album 4REAL 4REAL. The visual opener, shot in black-and-white, features the rapper performing in front of a star-studded audience with the likes of Big Boi, Kamaiyah and Machine Gun Kelly watching on. Clips of YG driving his sports cars and having fancy dinner with friends are also stitched between the monochromatic shots, along with an homage to the late Nipsey Hussle (“Let the Marathon continue / It’s not a race with this s**t”) who can be seen immortalized in a mural. The video ends with the crowd giving him a standing ovation, personifying the chorus ender, “We gon’ do this one for hip-hop.”
