ICECREAM Links up With Japanese Skate Icon YOPPI for Vibrant 2019 Capsule

As a follow up to the collaborative Steven Harrington x ICECREAM ‘Cosmic Cone’ Sculpture, ICECREAM has returned to host yet another vibrant co-sign, this time with Japanese skater Egawa “YOPPI” Yoshifumi.
Since the ’90s, Egawa Yoshifumi, better known as YOPPI, has held a strong presence in Japan, both for being pro under T19 Skateboards and founding the brand realmadHECTIC during the heydays of the Ura-Harajuku scene. With the kind of past that Billionaire Boys Club has had in Japan, it comes as no surprise that the two have joined on a special project.
Unveiled is a capsule that includes a colorful set of graphic T-shirts, bucket hats, beanies and socks. Palettes of green, white, purple, light blue and brown are served up in stark co-branding. A motif that recurs throughout the range is a red traffic cone that is playfully incorporated into some classic ICECREAM logos. On one of the T-shirts, the traffic cone is flipped upside-down to replace the ice cream cone. Another tee shows Billionaire Boys Club’s dog logo leaping over a pylon. Other graphics like snow-covered letterings and branded abbreviations round out the concise collection.
