Virgil Abloh Drops MCA Chicago Exhibiton "Figures of Speech" Merch

Virgil Abloh has unveiled an exclusive MCA Chicago exhibition merch T-shirt following the release of his Figures of Speech book and physical showcase. The “Figures of Speech” exhibition highlights some of the designer’s most notable creations from clothes to furniture designs and collaborative projects with artists Jenny Holzer, Arthur Jafa, and John Baldessari — much like the context of the book.
To celebrate the exhibition, Virgil Abloh has reworked a plain white Champion T-shirt with graphics and quotes. “Figures of Speech” is printed on the front and is surrounded by Virgil’s go-to quotation marks, which sees a fighter jet printed on top of the text. “ABLOH” appears on the rear neckline, while a large image of a painter covering up the exhibition name takes up most of the T-shirt’s back. The T-shirt is exclusively available via the Frenzy app on May 30 and is available for just 24 hours.
