The collection is titled “RUINS” and continues TDT’s theme of “TURN OFF ALL DEVICES >>,” which looks at media and news consumption, pre-digital media and analog TV stations. Pieces in the collection are inspired by the ruins of the ancient Lucian city of Patara in south Turkey and reinterpret traditional designs and patterns that are associated with the area.
Traditional Turkish Haman towels have been reworked for a selection of TDT shirts while deconstructed rugs have been used to create coach jackets featuring heavily detailed patterns. Standout pieces from the collection include the black pleated two-piece suit and the ruins-inspired black and yellow printed shirt, both of which deliver TDT’s modernist take on tailoring. Rounding off the collection is a selection of bags and a packable Japanese nylon hood.
