TOBi Debuts New Video for !LLMIND & Take A Daytrip Collab "Werking"
A song about “dealing with adversity on a basic level.”
This Friday, May 3, TOBi is planning on releasing a new studio album titled STILL. Made up of 13 new tracks, STILL is almost entirely a showcase of TOBI’s inimitable skills as a versatile solo artist, with only one feature coming courtesy of VanJess. Now, further supporting and promoting the debut of his forthcoming full-length, TOBi is serving up a new visual for one of its main singles, the !lLMIND and Take A Daytrip-produced “Werking.”
Speaking to us for an exclusive statement on today’s release, TOBi calls “Werking” a song about “dealing with adversity on a basic level.”
“Struggle is a necessary part of life and explores the pivotal point in one’s journey,” TOBi shares. “The barbershop is important to me as it’s a place where we build community, share ideas and culture. I wanted ‘Werking’ to visually show what it looked like to respond to a traumatic and trying event. To laugh in the face of stress and not crumble under pressure. To keep Werking.”
