Basketball insiders recently broke the news that NBA prospect Ja Morant has signed a multi-year deal with Nike. Morant confirmed the deal by posting a photo on his personal Twitter with the caption, “All my life my parents worked for a check. Now I’m proud to say I work for the check.”
Following an impressive 2019 March Madness tournament performance, the Murray State University point guard is expected to be taken second overall by the Memphis Grizzlies at the 2019 NBA Draft taking place June 20. Morant became a name to follow after leading his 12th seed team to an upset victory over 5th seed Marquette University during the opening round of the tournament.
