Tyler, the Creator's 'IGOR' Surpasses DJ Khaled For No. 1 Spot on Billboard 200 Chart
Marking the rapper’s first ever chart-topper.
The results are in — IGOR trumps Father of Asahd to top this week’s Billboard 200 chart. Tyler, the Creator’s sixth studio album debuted at No. 1 with 74,000 traditional copies sold and 122.9 million streaming equivalent albums, totaling to 165,000 equivalent album sales. Meanwhile, DJ Khaled’s star-studded record landed at No. 2 with a total of 136,000 equivalent album sales, crediting 123.2 million to streaming equivalent albums and 34,000 to traditional copies.
IGOR is officially Tyler’s first album to hit No. 1. The rapper himself also achieves a historical accomplishment as the first solo rapper to debut at No. 1 with a self-produced and self-arranged record.
Rounding up the top five are Billie Eilish’s WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, Khalid’s Free Spirit and The National’s I Am Easy To Find.
