Maison Margiela's Suede Lowtops Recall a Sky Blue Sunrise
Complete with sunny wheat-toned pops.

After giving its sneakers a paint-splattered treatment earlier this month, Maison Margiela has seemingly drawn inspiration straight from the skies for one of its newest Spring/Summer 2019 releases. This time, the French luxury label is tweaking a low-top silhouette inspired by classic running sneakers.
For its latest release, the house of Margiela coats the shoe in a fresh sky blue upper, with suede panels at the toe cap and heel for a layered effect. To contrast against the cerulean hue, the lace keeper, tongue and heel notch have been doused in wheat tones, reminiscent of the sun — a true sunrise aesthetic in line with the sky-blue hue elsewhere. Sporty, striped blue laces and a cream-colored midsole round it all off with complementary shades.
Priced at $590 USD, Maison Margiela’s Colorblocked Suede Low-Top Sneakers are available now at Moda Operandi’s webstore.
