Open Mike Eagle and Lizzo's "Extra Consent" Video Hits Hilariously Close to Home
She’s the latest guest to join OME’s new Comedy Central show.
Lizzo is on fire lately, especially with the recent release of her much-awaited third studio album, Cuz I Love You, and now the singer has joined Open Mike Eagle in a hilarious music video entitled “Extra Consent.” The new track comes in conjunction with OME and Baron Vaughn’s Comedy Central show, The New Negroes, which stars different guests each week.
This time, Lizzo lends her infectious sense of humor and unique voice in a parody that hits close to home in the wake of #MeToo campaigns. Though she’s ready and willing to get down to business in the bedroom with her guy, the respectful gentleman needs a bit of “extra consent” — including signed forms, verbal permission and a panic button at the foot of the bed, just to name a few stipulations.
Lizzo impatiently waits for him to outline his requirements before matter-of-factly letting him know she’s “tryna f*ck.” Scroll above to watch the full video.
