Open Mike Eagle & MF DOOM Mirror Reality in "Police Myself" Music Video
The politically-charged visual is humorous and alarming at the same time.
Hip-hop artist and comedian Open Mike Eagle has linked up with the legendary MF DOOM for “Police Myself.” Although DOOM himself doesn’t appear in the music video, he and Eagle narrate the do’s and dont’s of surviving the racially tense American society. “I’m in custody, but when will I release myself?” Eagle asks, highlighting the paranoia he and other African-American males endure on a daily basis. He eventually passes the paranoia on to a young boy, noting the never-ending cycle.
