Nike's Zoom 2K Electrifies in "Black/Volt/White"
A sharp contrast for the retro runner.
Nike‘s recently-revived Zoom 2K isn’t the only sneaker to recently receive the “Volt” treatment, but it does make for a distinctive reimagining of the classic shoe. A monochrome makeup is undercut with sharp yellow accents, making for a striking, yet versatile, revamp.
Without a break between the coloway on the upper and midsole, the shoe almost appears to be one swirling abstract mass of color. Black mesh and leather appear towards the toe, curving back around to cover the heel in between wide swathes of contoured white leather. “Volt” yellow lining complements the Zoom Air tab towards the rear and the Swoosh near the forefoot, further brightening the letters that spell out “ZOOM” on the eyelets. Thick white laces and a matching heel pull tab reinforce the sneaker’s sporty motif, while “Volt” branding on the tongue and toe is nearly indistinguishable against its white base.
The latest Nike Zoom 2K makeup is now available on atmos’ site for ¥8,500 JPY (approximately $75 USD).
Most recently, the Zoom 2K received bold “Infared 23” accents.
