Kevin Durant Invests in Luxury Audio Company Master & Dynamic
Leaving his Beats behind.
Golden State Warriors‘ Kevin Durant has just invested in the high-end audio company Master & Dynamic. The NBA star was previously often seen sporting a pair of Beats but has now left those behind to design his own headphones with the New York City-based audio brand. The investment has been made through Durant’s company Thirty Five Ventures, which has previously also invested in logistics company Postmates and cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.
According to the audio company, “In addition to having part ownership in Master & Dynamic, the full partnership will also see Durant and Thirty Five Ventures work with the company on creative, design and building out the intersection of sports and music.” The brand has recently released its first noise-canceling headphones — the MW65 ANC — and with Durant’s input, will be releasing the same pair in a “Studio 35” colorway selected by Durant himself. There’s no news on how the pair looks yet, so stay tuned as more updates surface.
Elsewhere in the sports world, Manchester United has just revealed its signature red home kit from adidas for the 2019-2020 season.
