Kanye West Sits Down With David Letterman on 'My Next Guest Needs No Introduction’
Where he opens up about his bipolar disorder.
David Letterman returns to Netflix this month for a whole new round of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction episodes, and taking the limelight in one of them is cultural icon Kanye West.
Reports of West sitting down with Letterman first started circulating earlier this year, and now the trailer confirms West, along with Ellen DeGeneres, Tiffany Haddish, Melinda Gates and Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton, will be guest stars on the talk show.
In the two-minute trailer shared by the streaming giant, Letterman can be seen asking West, “If Velcro had been invented first, would there be zippers?” After taking a moment to contemplate the question Kanye replies, “You know that really is a deep question.” During his interview, West also opens up about his bipolar disorder and erratic behavior.
My Next Guest Needs No Introduction premiered on Netflix last January and marked Letterman’s return to TV since leaving The Late Show three years prior. Barack Obama, JAY-Z, Howard Stern, George Clooney, Tina Fey and Malala Yousafzai were guests during the show’s initial run.
Unlike the first season, all five-episodes of David Letterman’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction season 2 will air on Netflix May 31. Each episode of the first season was released monthly.
In related news, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian just welcomed their fourth child over the weekend.
