Gucci's Piqué Polo Shirt Features Embroidered 19th Century Poetry
A skull and snake appliqué adds to the look.
Gucci continues to deliver its romantic Spring/Summer 2019 collection, offering up a cotton piqué polo in its latest release that’s been emblazoned with poetry from the 19th century.
The shirt is crafted from 100% cotton and features a colorblocked design all over, consisting of a chalky blue base with bright red side vents and sleeves. An appliquéd patch featuring an intertwining skull and snake takes center stage on the front, while embroidered words from William Wordsworth’s 1807 poem, “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud,” surround it: “And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils.”
Green and cream trim details on the body, as well as a striped black and white collar add contrast. A two-button front closure finishes it all off.
Priced at $903 USD, Gucci’s SS19 polo is available now at MATCHESFASHION.com.
