BAPE Is Dropping a Lil Yachty Capsule
Along with a chance to meet the artist.
Lil Yachty is the latest artist tapped by revered streetwear giant BAPE for its forthcoming capsule.
Similar to the brand’s BAPE Heads Show merch (which included cartoon iterations of Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Pusha T and Big Sean), the items in the collection will feature Lil Yachty made over in the same animation style originally drawn by designer MANKEY standing alongside BAPE’s lovable sidekick Baby Milo.
As per the lookbook photos, the collaborative range will include graphics hoodies and T-shirts featuring two different designs. Over on the hoodies, the front portion sees both Yachty and Milo standing next to each other while the back spotlights a giant portrait of Yachty’s face. The tees will also feature this design along with an alternate graphic showcasing both Lil Boat and Milo in, well, a boat sailing in a river.
Interested fans will be able to cop the Lil Yachty x BAPE capsule during a pre-sale event on Thursday, May 23 located at BAPE’s New York outpost. Customers that make a purchase will then be able to attend a meet-and-greet with the artist. Otherwise fans will have to wait until Saturday, May 25 to cop the items at select BAPE retailers worldwide.
