Balenciaga Releases Logo-Heavy FW19 "Drop 01" Online
Dominated with ’80s-influenced boxy silhouettes.
Balenciaga has released “Drop 01” of its Fall/Winter 2019 collection online, offering up a number of logo-emblazoned T-shirts, sweaters and outerwear for its first delivery. The ’80s influence is also prevalent throughout, as boxy silhouettes dominate the range.
Some of the standout items within the 33-piece capsule include the branded button-up tops, which are offered in short-sleeved and long-sleeved versions that have been plastered with different logo treatments. Subtle details, like the raglan sleeves on the allover printed edition, lend a classic touch. Branded emblems also find their way onto heavier garments like crewneck knits, hoodies and raincoats.
The assortment also encompasses several footwear options, namely Balenciaga’s chunky-soled Triple S sneaker and its Track Trainer. One of the brighter Triple S models features a grey leather and mesh upper dotted with vivid yellow accents. On the other hand, the Track shoe gets bleached out with a tonal white look. Bringing a dressier element to the range are the likes of blazers with exaggerated shoulders and checked tailored pants, rounding it all out.
