Africa Express Drop Trailer for Their Upcoming Album 'EGOLI'
Releasing July 12.
It appears that this summer is going to be filled with a plethora of new music, with artists like Tyler, the Creator, Skepta and even Prince expected to release their upcoming albums. Joining them is Africa Express, recently announcing July 12 as the release date of their album to be titled EGOLI.
If the name Africa Express sounds familiar to you, you might remember seeing them perform at the 2012 London Olympics or at various Glastonbury Festivals. The musical collective is a UK-based non-profit organization made up of musicians from Africa, the Middle East and the West. Their mission focuses building a positive framework around African countries and enabling African musicians to break past the stereotypes that surround the term “World Music.”
EGOLI will release under Africa Express Records and will include collaborations from Damon Albarn, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Nick Zinner, Gruff Rhys and Georgia, to name a few. Teasing their album, the group took to YouTube yesterday to release a short trailer. Check out the video above for a slight preview of their forthcoming musical project.
