Lotto Rocket Shares Video for 'Hawaiian Hotboy' Single "Whuss Haaannnin"
Coming live and direct from Carson, CA.
Following collaborations with regional heroes and stars-in-the-making like Rucci and a string of modestly-successful local street-records, Carson rapper Lotto Rocket is planning on releasing a new project in the near future. Known as Hawaiian Hotboy, the EP is being introduced through a new music video for its Asapzbeats-produced lead single, “Whuss Haaannnin.”
“The visual to my single ‘Whuss Haaannnin’ is just a warm up for the ‘Hawaiian Hotboy’ EP coming before summertime,” Lotto Rocket explains, providing us with exclusive insight into the creation of his latest release and its music video’s central themes. “Directed by @edd.aye, this video shows just a glimpse of how a Hawaiian background isn’t all hula skirts and hotel stays. Being an LA native brought up with Hawaiian roots, you can see show how I ride the beat like a wave in Waimea Bay. I plan on dropping more visuals to paint a picture of how it is being brought up with Polynesian tradition at home, but also growing up with my foot in the streets and being the first of my family to grow up in LA. I feel people like me haven’t had a voice in hip hop yet, and I’m trying to open that door and shine light on it.”
