Nike Master Trainer Joe Holder Tests Out SS19 ACG Gear in the Pacific Northwest
Holder takes on Mount Hood in the new layers.
The latest Nike ACG offering delivers a variety of trail-indebted goodness, including the new ACG React Terra Gobe sneaker. To test out the functionality of the Spring/Summer 2019 gear, Nike master trainer Joe Holder ventured to the rugged Pacific Northwest to explore extreme terrain.
With clients ranging from Virgil Abloh and Heron Preston to the Victoria’s Secret Angels, Holder is no stranger to high-intensity workouts. However, the soaking wet forests alongside Hood River and the frigid heights of Mount Hood provide a challenge unlike anything available indoors.
“When you think of the concept of the gym, it’s boggling,” Holder begins. “We’ve removed ourselves so far from nature … just being in green spaces which I love, is such a symbiotic aspect with nature.” Leaping off fallen trees and jogging through snowdrifts atop the mountain, Holder experiences a wide range of weather, truly putting the All Conditions Gear through its paces “Just crawling around in nature, getting lost off the beaten path, it’s like the original gym,” Holder remarks.

There’s been no recent shortage of outdoors-indebted gear, as BAPE and Helinox only just teamed up for a collection of camping essentials.
