Giuseppe Zanotti Releases Bold Sandal Version of its Urchin Silhouette
A striking summer option.
Italian footwear designer Giuseppe Zanotti‘s Urchin sneakers arrived last November, introducing a disruptive, unconventional design onto the sneaker scene. Now they’re receiving an inventive reinterpretation in the form of sandals. Inspired by the architecture of the city, the new design retains the key design features of the originals, including the bulky, 3D-printed “spiny” sole and the exposed zip details, new elements include the nylon straps and plastic buckle that carry small dashes of color on the tips. Other details include subtle logos on the buckle and a velcro patch on the upper.
To pick up this unconventional option for the summer, head over to the brand’s web store and grab a pair, retailing for €695 EUR ($875 USD).
