adidas ZX 4000 4D "Carbon" Receives Official Release Date
More 4D innovation from the Three Stripes lab.
After a first look at the colorway surfaced earlier this year, adidas will be dropping its “Carbon/Semi Solar Yellow” iteration of the futuristic retro-inspired ZX 4000 4D runner very soon.
Seeing a design inspired by the ZX series of the 1980s, the 4D-equipped runner sports a primeknit upper in a smokey “Carbon” get up with hits of saturated teal and “Semi Solar Yellow” accenting the streamlined runner. Tonal suede panelling wraps around the middle of the shoe, with additional suede padding seen on the lateral-side toe box and either side of the heel.
The flexible “Carbon” upper sits atop the signature 4D sole unit, which once again returns in its pastel green interweaved honeycomb design. Crafted with light, oxygen and liquid resin, the 4D sole unit provides cushioning, support and a unique design that is both aesthetically-focussed and functional.
To be in with a chance of purchasing a pair, head to adidas stores, online and select retailers worldwide on April 6 for £280 GBP (approx. $350 USD).
