Puma Adds Disc Blaze Technology to the Thunder Spectra in Two Monochromatic Colorways
OG ’90s technology equips the modern chunky runner.
Puma has given its Thunder Spectra silhouette a Disc Blaze rework, pairing the contemporary chunky runner with OG technology from the 1990s.
The fusion is seen on two monochromatic Spring/Summer 2019 colorways. White-on-black and black-on-white are switched up on both pairs, flowing between layers of mesh, suede and smooth leather atop a chunky tonal sole unit. New to 2019 is an additional suede side panel that overlays the original Thunder Spectra upper, noting that this is the unique sole-swapped pair.
The most notable addition is the inclusion of Disc technology, seeing a rubber panel adorn the tongue and house the iconic Disc tuning tooling. Tied down into the eyestay, the Disc technology allows wearers to customize the fit of their shoe as its internal wiring system tightens around the user’s foot.
Head to retailers such as Overkill to purchase both colorways now, priced at €140 EUR (approx. $160 USD).
