Chief Keef & YoungBoy Never Broke Again Connect for "Fireman"
Two of the hardest-working stars in street-rap unite.
One month after reconnecting with Zaytoven for a collaborative project known as GloToven, Chief Keef is setting his sights on his next full-length release, Almighty So 2, by sharing a new single in support of it. Known as “Fireman,” Chief Keef’s latest record finds him teaming up with producer Tay Keith and Baton Rouge champion YoungBoy Never Broke Again. Although Chief Keef has yet to share any other specific, significant details regarding Almighty So 2, there’s good reason to believe that he might be particularly selective about the direction and sound of this mixtape: back in January of 2014, the Chicago superstar took to Twitter to voice his displeasure with the original Almighty So, blaming its perceived missteps on his use of lean during his attempt at self-mastering.
For his contribution to “Fireman,” YoungBoy is focused on celebrating the rockstar lifestyle that rap has afforded him and showcasing his confidence in his own talents. “I got on dope, and it’s Supreme / Styling so hard, I make you collapse,” YoungBoy raps on “Fireman,” starting off his verse with a straightforward barrage of brags and boasts. “Studio go hard, I ain’t taking no bath / All day I’ve been working inside of the lab / I ain’t ever got to write ’cause I know how to rap / They tell me slow down, ’cause I’m moving too fast / Uber too far so I hop in the cab / Hop on the jet, take a flight to the Carib’ / Got luck, like a four leaf clover / Full of drugs like I’m never sober / Flex hard like I’m Chief Sosa.”
