Wiz Khalifa & Curren$y Launch HiSpace & Drop Animated Visual for “Garage Talk”
Bringing back the 2009-era in fashion.
The latest video from the mixtape-era dynamic duo sees Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y in an animated visual filled with all the rappers’ favorite things – luxurious goods, big smoke, and music. To commemorate the launch of the video, which happens to be the lead single off their latest project 2009, they also created a pseudo-MySpace website called HiSpace, which showcases the artists’ profiles in a format that mimics the glory days of the first big social media platform.
The video for the Dame Grease-produced “Garage Talk” moves away from the other visuals the duo have released in relation to their latest album — embarking on an animated take. Both rappers are heard laying down their respective verses as the slideshow-like animation scrolls through various drawn illustrations. To celebrate both the album and the music video, the launching of HiSpace is a funny ode to the nostalgic project; both artists have posted the various music videos from the album, have a Top 8 friend list, and allow visitors to make an account and comment on the artists’ profiles.
