With all things ’90s making a resurgence, Microsoft has just announced a new see-through model for its Xbox Wireless Controllers — the Phantom White Special Edition. Second in the Phantom Series after the Phantom Black Special Edition controller, the new model largely mirrors its predecessor, but in opposite shades.

This time in white, as the name suggests, the design combines a luxurious aesthetic with a Sci-Fi touch. From the bottom up, the controller’s opaque matte white fades gradually into a neutral transparency, revealing the gold mechanical components inside. All the buttons, analog sticks, and triggers come in glossy white and are accented by light grey marking. The back of the Phantom White controller includes textured grips which help gamers stay on target. The Phantom White controller comes equipped with Bluetooth technology that also pairs with Windows 10, allowing for PC gameplay.

The new design was earlier leaked just prior to Xbox’s official announcement. The response? Twitter loved it. Check out the tweets below to see what gamers think of the Phantom White controller.

The Phantom White Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller will be available on April 2, and will retail for $69.99 USD.

In other gaming news, patents of Google’s Yeti controller has been discovered, giving credence to rumors that Google may be releasing their own console soon.
