In January, Raf Simons announced plans to expand into luxury skiwear through a partnership with fledgling Australian performance brand Templa. Now, Simons and A$AP Rocky alike have taken to Instagram to reveal a series of looks from the Fall/Winter 2019 capsule, with the “Raf” rapper himself serving as the star for the debut.
The imagery showcases an assortment of balaclavas, graphic T-shirts, outerwear and pants grounded in a streamlined palette of orange, green, red, white and black. Phrases and words such as “Burning Down the House,” “Heroes,” “Losers,” and “Antwerp Since 1995” are plastered across the tees and puffer coats, mirroring the verbiage threaded throughout Simons own Blue Velvet-inspired FW19 collection. Completing the outfits are no-fuss ski pants, constructed with a baggy silhouette that lends a nod to the ongoing ’90s fashion trend.
No word yet on the exact release date that the Templa x Raf Simons collection will hit the market, but there is expected to be 25 items in total.
Simons made other headlines recently after it was revealed that he would take part in a retrospective exhibition at Pitti Uomo for its 30th anniversary. Titled 1989-2019: Thirty Years of Men’s Fashion, the installment will spotlight over 150 designers and labels in all.
