Stone Island Adds Bold New "Fluo Orange" Collection to SS19 Line
New takes on classic outerwear styles and graphic tees.
Late last week, we received a closer look at Supreme and Stone Island’s Spring/Summer 2019 collaboration. Now, switching gears to the brand’s own Spring/Summer 2019 output, Stone Island injects a lean line of boldly-colored outerwear and t-shirts into its current seasonal lineup.
Specifically, Stone Island is employing a “Fluo Orange” colorway for a new run of jackets and graphic tees. Each of eight items from the cult-favorite label’s new Spring/Summer 2019 range is covered in a strong, striking, eye-catching orange tone, while Polyester, Polyamide, Elastane materials are used for the construction of each piece. Standout selections include the “Fluo Orange” take on Stone Island’s classic Bomber Jacket style, which boasts a “ribbed collar, welt pockets with hidden zipper fastening, bellows pocket on chest with flap and popper fastening, ribbed cuffs” and more.
“Fluo orange, among seasonal colors, gets different shades and intensity according to materials and treatments … David Fluo is a star shaped Japanese polyester/polyamide substrate, dyed through special high temperature procedures, with the addition of an anti-drop agent,” reads an official statement from Stone Island, which describes its latest unique designs and manufacturing methods. “The heat-induced compression radically transforms the hand and body of the fabric. Stone Island constructs the garments and then washes them at 60°C.”
You can take a look at the Stone Island’s new “Fluo Orange” Spring/Summer 2019 pieces above, and head on over to the official Stone Island website to purchase some of gear for yourself — prices range from $150 USD to $1,030 USD.
