Seth Rogen Opens up His Own Cannabis Supplier
Partnering with ‘Pineapple Express’ executive producer and friend Evan Goldberg.

With hugely successful films like Pineapple Express, Sausage Party, Superbad and The Interview under their belt, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg team up again for their next venture: a cannabis company. Originating from Vancouver, the duo have just launched a weed supplier called Houseplant back home in Canada. In a statement from Canopy Growth, an Ontario-based cannabis grower that Houseplant is working with, the company said:
“Houseplant is the result of years of experience and dedication, with each element and expression thoughtfully designed to make it easier for people to learn to love cannabis as much as Houseplant does.”
Commenting on the project, Rogen said:
“Houseplant is a passion we’ve brought to life through drive and dedication. Every decision we’ve made for the business reflects the years of education, first-hand experience and respect we have for cannabis.”
His partner, Goldberg, also commented:
“We are so proud to be launching in Canada, our home. After spending five years diligently preparing for the launch of this company, we’re excited to be able to share our passion for cannabis with Canadians in this way.”
Houseplant’s first strain of weed will be available in April, aptly named Houseplant Sativa. Two other strains called Houseplant Hybrid and Houseplant Indica will be available later this year, along with a range of soft gels and pre-rolled joints. Still no word on if the duo will be stocking Pineapple Express.
