'Mortal Kombat 11' Reveals Noob Saibat's Brutal Specials and Finishing Moves
Long-time antagonist Shang Tsung is also announced.
Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon revealed fan-favorite fighters Noob Saibot and Shang Tsung to the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 at this year’s C2E2 convention.
Designs and the character’s lore were explored at the event, where Boon reiterated Saibot’s history as a common palette swap in Mortal Kombat 2 and how he became known as Sub-Zero’s older brother as the franchise went on. They even went over the origin of his name, which is just the names of Boon and the original title’s co-creator John Tobias displayed in reverse.
Like always, Saibot utilizes his ability to make clones in combat, as well as his proficiency with weapons and his talent to spawn them straight from his torso. The dark figure’s finishing move is also revealed, and is as gruesome and violent as you would expect.
Long-time antagonist Shang Tsung was also announced to be Mortal Kombat 11‘s first DLC character aside from Shao Khan, who is available for those who pre-order the game. Tsung will also be modeled and voiced by Cary Togawa, the actor who originally played the character in the Mortal Kombat movie. Hopefully, a skin for his classic leather jacket from the film becomes available, as Mortal Kombat 11 puts a heavy emphasis on customization in both character appearance and gameplay.
